Position Summary
Our team is hiring a full time, permanent Program Coordinator to support our organization. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative and creative tasks related to developing, coordinating, and delivering programs and activities offered at London Clay Art Centre (LCAC). As a key member of our operational team, you will ensure delivery of the best possible experience for all program participants. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will collaborate with and give direction to a large group of Instructors, Assistants, Volunteers, Members, and Studio Technicians to do so. You will delegate to and supervise the work of seasonal staff or interns.
You will have 1-3 years of experience leading lessons as well as coordinating and scheduling programs and activities for a teaching team, preferably in an arts or informal learning environment. We are looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively and who is interested in developing their planning and supervisory skills. The role requires initiative and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision. If possible, you will have worked with clay and be able to deliver or supervise lessons in a teacher’s absence.

Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, coordinate, and assist in the delivery of onsite and offsite programs, including classes, workshops, weekend workshops, summer programs for children, etc.
- Manage program registrations, payments, calendar or events, and communications through email, website, media relations, social media, etc.,
- Oversee daily classroom upkeep and supply requests in coordination with Studio Technician
- Liaise with Instructors, Teaching Assistants, Studio Technician and Coordinator, Studio Technician Assistant, and participants with respect to program activities
- Deliver the highest quality of customer service possible
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline or 3-5 years’ experience developing and coordinating educational programming
- 1-3 years of experience working with clay or coordinating ceramic-based programs
- Previous experience delivering exceptional customer service in a calm, courteous, and effective manner, demonstrating cultural competency when interacting with internal and external contacts
- Previous experience prioritizing and executing work to meet deadlines under pressure
Hours & Compensation
- Full time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours may vary, must be able to work a schedule to accommodate evenings and weekend programming requirements within 37.5 hours (Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday - tbd)
- 38,000 – 40,000 annually to start
Additional Information
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check within six (6) weeks of employment start date
- Probationary period of 6 months
- Feel free to include any photographic examples of your own artwork, up to 3 images
