Wheel
In this class you will learn the basic techniques of centering, pulling, shaping, trimming, and finishing on the potter‘s wheel.  This is the perfect place to start or revisit developing and refining throwing skills. Classes will include the glazing and decorating of your clay pieces.

Skill Level: Beginners, All Levels
Wheel 1.5
Wheel 1.5 is ideal for those who can centre confidently on the wheel but aren't sure they are "Intermediate" potters yet. This course will be project oriented with one project a week as well as independent time for throwing. Projects will include a large mug, lidded jar, eating bowl, plate, small vase with collared neck and a luminary. Various decorating techniques will be explored.
Skill Level: Previous Wheel Course(s) required
Wheel combo
A bit of both worlds - you will be introduced to the basics on the potter’s wheel and you will also explore what you can create with your hands through coiling, slab building and press molding.  This class will conclude with the glazing and decorating of your unique clay creations.
Skill Level: Beginners, All Levels
Wheel Shorts - not offered this fall
Just like the shorter days of winter, so is this course. In this condensed version of our traditional wheel courses, students will work on the potter’s wheel for three weeks, one week off, followed by glazing and decorating for the last week.
Clay cost for this class is reduced.
Skill level: Previous experience

If we have sufficient interest, we will open another Wheel Combo class. Please get in touch.

Students will decorate and glaze their final projects and finish up the session with clay games. Materials included.  All skill levels

For the older student who competently uses basic pottery techniques and is ready to combine them in creative new projects.
